RR Mediation Services provides bioethics mediation. Bioethics was created out of a need to assist patients and their families during stressful health care issues. Mediators are called in to work with the people in conflict around care decisions, for doctors who are having trouble explaining procedures or diagnosis to a patient or their caregiver.
We provide support for informal caregivers by organizing your own friends, family and community. Rings of Care is designed to help facilitate a community to encircle a person in need through education, guidance and a plan of care. Being an informal caregiver is a rewarding and noble job, but the pressure of being fully responsible for a loved one can take a toll, both mentally and physically. Rings of Care offers multiple levels of support and resources to improve quality of life for all during major health events.
The Trixi Lou Project helps curate lasting legacies through post-diagnosis photography, regardless of ability to pay.
Any diagnosis can be disempowering and tiresome. How rapidly or gradually things will progress is unknown, and the information, advice, medications, procedures, and treatments coming at you are daunting. A Legacy Session is an opportunity to pause with your people...a moment of peace amidst the chaos of your new normal. Take the pause and create a legacy from you, for them.
Barb Byrne has been working with fused glass, including memorial art pieces since 2015. Being trusted with a loved one’s remains is a profound privilege for Barb. To create her pieces, Barb adds a small amount of the remains into a glass design chosen by the family and then fires the piece in a kiln to make the ashes a permanent part of the glass art.
Before beginning the process, Barb makes sure to honor a loved one’s memory by smudging her studio with sage to cleanse the room and ready it for the sacred process. She feel blessed and humbled to be able to help family members find some measure of peace during the grieving process. Creating a forever keepsake is one of her greatest joys.
